I used to have a huge obsession with floral shirts. Of course, it didn't make it any better that I also was obsessed with anything sequined, tiaras, veils, barrettes, and, most of all, pink. Even with my short pixie cut, I was the exact opposite of a tomboy. Ever since that period of unfortunate fashion choices, I have avoided any shirts with giant flowers on the front. However, this J.Crew tee is much less ornate and glittery than past equivalents. The linen fabric is super soft, effortless, and has gotten me hooked on the linen tees from Madewell and J.Crew. I love wearing this shirt with a skirt and pearls, but a pair of neutral flats, grey jeans, a grey clutch, and a vintage necklace perfectly dress down a potentially fancy shirt.

IT'S IN THE BAG

It's in the Bag
My favorite purse right now is my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in Soft Grey. I purchased it in West Palm Beach during Spring Break and I love it so much! Macs are very popular and versatile, but are normally in the colors Almond and Black. Here is what I keep in mine:

I love my Kate Spade iPhone case! The polka dots are so cute.
I got these Kate Spade earbuds a couple months ago and they work great. One difficulty I have, however, is that they don't always stay in my small ears.

Tic Tacs are my favorite mints and I bring them with me almost everywhere.

I fell in love with Flowerbomb perfume a few years ago and it smells wonderful! It is great for formal occasions.

I love the lotions from Crabtree & Evelyn and L'Occitane. They keep your hands soft all day long and scents aren't overwhelming at all.

Kate Spade has the cutest accessories and this wristlet is no different. I prefer wristlets over wallets because I like to be able to carry my wristlet around when needed. The Cobble Hill Bee wristlet is 14k gold plated and comes blue and green too. The front zipper pocket is very handy and I usually put receipts or extra dollar bills in it.

I use lip balm a lot and this Shiseido is the best I have ever used by far.

Especially during cold and flu season, I always need tissues.

Emi-Jay hair ties are very stretchy and don't knot in my hair like normal hair ties. A plus is that they are hand-dyed and handmade in U.S.A.

Larabars are my all-time favorite bars. They come in a variety of flavors with no more than 9 ingredients and are gluten free, kosher, and vegan.

THE GOLDEN GIRL

White on white is just about the most summery outfit combination. What about blue on blue? It is too! In today's OOTD (Outfit of the Day,) I combined both to get an ultimate summer outfit. Along with the combination of cool blue and neutral white, I added warm gold details with a Tory Burch necklace, J Crew bracelet, and Forever 21 rings. I love that the embroidered Topshop blouse is so feminine, but becomes more sleek and understated with the Rebecca Minkoff bag and the Jeffrey Campbell sandals. To recreate this look yourself, you can wear your hair in a messy bun or straightened and left down. If you want to recreate this look on a tighter budget, a start could be this embroidered top, this pair of shorts in white, and and this bag. If you have any feedback or recommendations for a future post, let me know in the comments below!

PANTHER PEONY

Scalloped shorts return! Pale pink is my favorite color. When paired with zebra and leopard prints, it creates a whole new trend. This trendy and delicate outfit would be perfect for everyday wear when paired with a sleek ponytail or bun. BLUE SKIES

Hunter Dixon Dress, Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in Soft Grey, Tiffany & Co. Charm Bracelet, Burberry Watch (similar here,) Francesca Collection Lace Cardigan, Sam Edelman Shoes

Let's face it. The transition into summer in places like Western Washington takes a long time. Sure, we've had a couple of days of sun every few weeks, but it is never consistent. Despite my fairly pessimistic and gloomy forecast, one can still be optimistic, right? This dress is Hunter Dixon and I love the seafoam-y color. Many chose lightweight cotton or linens, generally in the color white, for a carefree and casual summer look. For me, a person who admits to owning too much pink, I always want to make a color that is stereotypically portrayed as masculine, feminine. What's more feminine and fabulous than lace (my opinion is entirely biased, as you can tell by my blog name)? Even if you don't live in a place with as mild temperatures as me, here's how you can recreate my outfit.
