Chic Chambray

Ever since the chambray trend caught on, I have been somewhat hesitant to wear the fabric. At first, I was afraid chambray would look too masculine or western. I was still skeptical when I purchased a Burberry light wash chambray skirt back in April, but this FEED dark wash chambray shirt truly changed my mind. Especially during this heatwave, I have been sticking to the basics and thin fabrics. When paired with these scalloped shorts from Oscar de la Renta, last seen here, this casual and versatile outfit kept me cool and comfortable. For fall, or at least once the weather starts cooling down, I am really excited to layer this chambray shirt with a cashmere sweater or a thin blazer, a bright belt, and cropped jeans. BIRD WATCHING

For a day in wildlife, a combination of retro, feminine, and masculine pieces become a perfect casual outfit. The breezy and elegant red bird print Zara shorts balances out with the Topshop camoflauge jacket. The retro and vintage-style Norma Kamali cat-eye sunglasses balances out with the sophisticated Rose Pierre ring and various gold bird necklaces. Neutral nail polish from Chanel accent the various patterns and textures. Even for summer, there are enough layers to stay comfortable in cool breezes in the trees or by a river or creek. 

SPORTS STAR

If you know me personally, you likely are aware of my hatred of wearing sports clothes, like sweats or yoga pants, in public. When I wear sweats or sports apparel, I feel sloppy and dull. However, I think this outfit has changed my mind. I love how the combination of black and white with the pop of blue makes the outfit more modern and sleek. TOP THREE THURSDAY- Orange Appeal

Normally I only wear pink, red, purple, or neutral nail colors. However, this weekend, I switched it up a bit and purchased Chanel 307 "Orange Fizz." It is such a pretty color! I love the orange-coral color and it's perfect for summer manicures and pedicures. Along with the Chanel nail polish, I have included similar nail polishes from Forever 21 and Butter London for lower prices!
