ELECTRIC PASTELS

My love for pastels has continued! Wearing pastels with metallics still has edge, but is more casual and bohemian than metallics with black and white. This modern outfit is perfect for everyday wear, beachside, or a day in the city. 

THE GOLDEN GIRL

White on white is just about the most summery outfit combination. What about blue on blue? It is too! In today's OOTD (Outfit of the Day,) I combined both to get an ultimate summer outfit. Along with the combination of cool blue and neutral white, I added warm gold details with a Tory Burch necklace, J Crew bracelet, and Forever 21 rings. I love that the embroidered Topshop blouse is so feminine, but becomes more sleek and understated with the Rebecca Minkoff bag and the Jeffrey Campbell sandals. To recreate this look yourself, you can wear your hair in a messy bun or straightened and left down. PRIMA BALLERINA

When I was a little girl, I really wanted to become a ballerina. But, with my lack of talent and dedication to dance, I learned that it wasn't for me. All I really can do is stand directly on my toes, but that's nothing. Plus, I'll probably break my toes doing it soon enough. Anyway, I still am in love with the main thing that drew me to ballet in the first place- clothes. Somehow ballerinas can perfectly combine extravagance with simplicity so effortlessly with both everyday outfits and stage outfits.  Today I'm going to a ballet and I'm certain it will inspire me to incorporate even more ruffles, pale pinks, stud earrings, top knot buns, and thin headbands into my style.
